I wish someone could explain to our government that the use of ethanol does not reduce our dependence on foreign oil. The ethanol does not lower emissions. All it does is reduce the amount of money we can keep in our pockets. It helps the oil companies. It helps the distilleries that make the ethanol. It probably helps the bank accounts of the politicians that approved the ethanol being put into our fuel. If I make a 2000 miles trip, I use 200 gal of gas or I use 200 gal of gas AND 11 gal of ethanol. I haven't even brought up the fact that it takes a lot of fuel to make the ethanol. Starting with the equipment on the farm, the trucks that haul the corn, the trucks that haul the ethanol. etc.
Rant over
Paul
