Question 1997 e-420 driveline

How hard is it to remove driveshaft from 1997 e-420? I noticed I could move rear of transmission up and down by hand. Is this normal or do I need a new Trans mount?

Your transmission should not move by hand....

How much movement are you talking about??
The driveshaft, not any harder than any other 210 chassis. You need a new flex disc or what? If you can support the trans and remove the crossmember it becomes much easier to do the flexdisc, then you could do the rear mount if you need to.

Could be either one. You will feel a lot of backlash going from drive to reverse if it's the flexdisc

Could be worn engine mounts. How many miles on them?

As far as engine mounts....try moving your engine by hand, it shouldn't move. When mine were bad, I could push the engine around quite easily...
