I still have a belt noise, I noticed it today, sounds like it may be coming from the tensioner pulley
Another good upgrade. The ones on mine are 500E front and EvoII rear. I need to drop the front one though, it needs repainted.

I did get new rocker panels in today though. Not sure when I'll get around to putting them in..

Update, Its been a while but I have gotten a lot done, forgot to take some pictures though, Installed new front control arm bushings, ball joints, shock mounts and bump stops, lowered the car to even up the fender gap front and rear, got the dash all buttoned up and everything installed (still need to replace some bulbs, changes the oil twicw now, have 1300 miles on the engine now, just rolled the odometer over to 113,000 miles, adjusted the reverse light switch and kick down cable.

So far have averaged 20 mpg combined so I adjusted the fuel again and will see what I get this tank

I am sure I am forgetting a lot of stuff, will update when I remember

Edit: converted the car to r134a and I named her.
Allow me to introduce you to Elfriede...

for reference to anyone wanting to cut springs, It rides like it did at stock height and in this picture there one coil removed from the rear, and 1.4 removed from the front, coils were cut from the bottom of the springs. Please make sure when you lower a car (regardless of how it is done) replace your bump stops and take it to a competent alignment shop. It also helps if you give the guy a tip for the extra hassle. I do this for a living and have been doing so for several years now and the alignment on this car still kicked my ass for two and a half hours (and involved an oxy acetylene torch).

Well I must congratulate you it looks like you're a lot further on than me!

A set of four undamaged but need painting CLK wheels here start at about 100 euros for the four wheels with out tyres - shipping gonna kill the deal though

i can get them here for around $220 ea for remans, and usually 5-600 for rashed up used ones, I would like a set of the 16in monoblocks as well but I'm not sure if they'll clear my calipers

I've got 16x8 Lorinser RS-90's on my 190E and they clear those E420 calipers perfectly fine. What you have to watch out for is rubbing at the fender/bumper area. Although it might not be a problem if your car is not overly lowered..

So after 10 years of driving a 5spd as a daily, One month of driving an auto has made me hate them once again, on that note I should hopefully be picking up everything I need for a manual conversion tomorrow. I also picked up a fuel rail, injectors and a harness for my future megasquirt conversion

What do you hate about the auto? On my 201, adjusting up the control cable to give later shift points was a must.

I have done it, I just don't like automatics, even for daily drivers, I feel like they make my lazy and that this engine has so much more potential than an auto will allow it to show. I also do a lot of interstate driving and to be turning near 4000rpm at an 80mph cruise just isn't cutting it.

My 3.0 will sit just about 3K at 70MPH. The 300D does about 2700 RPM at the same speed.

I think the 7 speed in the C300 I had yesterday was much less, maybe 1600-1700? Can't remember exactly.

I dont mind the automatics in these cars. I drove a Chevy Cruze and that was a pain in the butt. It never quite wanted to be in the gear I wanted. The C300 was better but then again my driving is 99% highway...

weighed and dynod the car yesterday, results are as follows:
weight: 2810 with a full tank of fuel, 54 front split, and near 50/50 cross split
power: so much it broke the dyno

the Superflow we were using gave us issues all day, we couldn't get a torque reading on anything and the rpm pickup wasn't working, we finally got it to just look at wheel speed and determine rpm based off gear ratios. After fighting with it all day it stopped recording hp after 50 hp.

Here are a few pics from the last week or so, went to Virginia International Raceway to dyno the car and fool around on the track. Took a few in car videos on the track at night while it was raining, will upload once edited. Broke a headlight lens while I was there too. Picked up my transmission, rebuilt it and have all other parts for manual swap on the way.

How much power did it make on the dyno?

Don't know, the dyno was giving us issues all day, messed with it for 3 hours before it would even give us a wheel speed reading, We will have to try again onve I get the manual in. I do know it hangs with the e30 that weighs 50 lbs less and puts down 131 at the wheels.
