need help with climate control unit (I think)

Hello, I got a '95 C220 and the display for the temp goes crazy. Also when turning on the heater or ac, when it wokrs, it would turn it self off after a couple of min. any ideas? what i was told was to replace the climate control unit. Have anyone experiance this? or know what si wrong? thanks for any input!
