Hehe, that wouldn't work here... The first time water reached up to neck level at the 2nd floor!

Anyway,

Quick update:
We drained the escape... Water reached up to the top of the engine. Oil level didn't rise too much but we drained it anyway. Water didn't reach the ecu though.
We started her up and she did run, smooth... Though it refused to idle.
And btw, first time i turned the key the gauges and lights started to flash erratically.
Disconnected the battery and dried the fuse box and connectors located at the driver side kick panel. That did the trick and the flashing was gone.
After that i ran the engine, water gushed out the exhaust... After that it ran smooth, though with my foot on the pedal. i got it to idle a few times but now it just refuses to idle.
Another thing, whenever i connect the battery there's this buzzing sound near the intake area. And a few relays get triggered. I managed to eliminate the buzzing when i pulled the eec relay.
So tried tracing some connectors... I found out that when i disconnect the green connector at the kick panel, the relay wouldn't energize when i connect the battery. I guess the short/ground is there somewhere?
There are a couple of connectors in the engine bay that i can't access at the moment...
Plan is simply to disconnect and dry out all connectors...
If anybody has any idea where the eec relay is connected to that would help trace the grounding.
Oh yeah, another thing...this afternoon when i turned on the engine... It started to sputter, rotten egg smell emanated from the exhaust... And the cat started to smoke a bit... Could the cat cause the non-idle issue?
Thanks!
Things are looking good... Didnt expect the engine would run during the first attempt.
