My 300e [1986] began making a high pitched whine and minutes later I noticed the oil, fuel, and temp gauges were all to far left. [the fuel economy gauge still works though].

The whine is there unless I turn either the right or left turn signals on.

I checked the fuse and don't think it is that.

What on earth is going on?
