fuel pump relay
I got the new fuel pump relay for my 560 sel from fastlane and it cured the problem for a while. I drove it once to the gas station, and I ran it a few other times (waiting for paperwork to clear up registration problems), and the last time I ran it, it died and never started back up-fuel pump out again. I jumped out the fp relay and it started up. Do the new relays have reliability problems as well? What now? Thanks,

No, usually not. It sounds like your fuel pump(s) could be drawing too many amps and blowing the relay like a fuse.

Also the ignition module must send a VOLTAGE signal to the TD pin on the fuel pump relay so that the relay knows that the engine is running.

I have got to go with Benzmac on this one. That was the problem I had with my 500SEL. Take it from me, do not buy cheap crap to replace the fuel system components with. I repeated that montra as I was replacing my third fuel pump.
