Dear friends,
I need to know what to use to lubricate the tracks on my 420 SEL sun roof. It looks very dry and I am afraid that if I use something that I am not suppose to, it my eat up the rubber seal around the parameter and end up leaking water thru. thanks |

A little bit of vaseline will do fine. use it sparingly.

Vaseline? Really? I heard somewhere that you shouldn't use petroleum-based lubricants.

I would only lubricate the steel portions of the tracks and not any of the rubber so therefore the petroleum based products will work fine. Use VERY sparingly.
