I have an '87 300SDL with 101K on it. Just got it 3 weeks ago. There is a ticking noise in the blower that sounds like something loose inside the fan inlet. It's louder when cornering left than when I corner right, and is also affected somewhat when I brake. I remember reading a post somewhere that says that there is something that that typically falls into the blower inlet. I also remember that it could be accessed by removing the glovebox body. Any help?
The car is in otherwise great shape, and will be my daily driver, for about 75 miles a day. |
