I have a W211 E500 that recently had a bad air shockreplaced,
Shortly after having that repaired I started getting this message intermittently.
I'd get it every day or so but it might take hours to show up.

Checking teh obvious I pulled the connectors on the headlamp assy and reseated them and now I get the message immediately upon starting the car.

If I start the car I see the right one adjust itself by going up and down but the left one doesn't move. so I assume thats whete the issue is.

Looking for any advice on what to do next. Is teh problem most likely the headlamp? I'd hate to buy one if there are other options to try first
