There is a distinct (read: loud) whine from the engine that rises in volume with RPM. One mechanic suggested that it is the water pump bearing, and to put up with it until it becomes unbearable (pun intended). It has gotten somewhat noisier over time, and I feel as though I'm driving a turbine-powered vehicle. Is this a typical problem? Could it be something else? The dealership wasn't a lot of help, either.
