w211 P2006 Code

My 2006 W211 E-350 Wagon is running fine and just passed smog but I found a P2006 code stored that will not stay cleared. It states "Tumble Flap Intake Manifold, open circuit of sensor lines, Tumble Flap Shafts Stuck in Non actuated position"

Questions:
-Critical to fix now or o.k. to wait until "I get around to it"?
-Expensive?
-Shop or do at home?

Many thanks for good advice!

Tumble flap sounds like a dual length intake manifold flap.

Do some searching for your specific engine, I think that era had issues with the flaps breaking apart.

Your choices are brand new intake manifold from MB at a hefty price, or buy the aftermarket metal tumble flaps and replace them yourself.

.........or you can ignore it. P2006 won't turn the CEL on and you shouldn't notice any performance issues.........
