So I bought an '84 380SL
I got weak in my knees and decided to do something crazy: I bought an 84 380SL.
It has 213,000 miles on it and was fully restored by the previous owner. The car also had a rebuilt engine done about 15k miles ago. The car looks immaculate. Very well taken care of! The last Benz I owned was a 300D and I got very good at taking care of it. What's the yearly maintenance for these r107s beyond obvious oil changes? Pics for the curious:

Looks great!! The M116 won't need much more care and feeding than the OM617. A new chain at 100-150K miles is about it. Some 107s were subject to a front subframe TSB or recall. I don't know the first thing about ragtops.

Congrats on the purchase - very clean looking car. I've attached a DIY tech article directory for the R107. It should be very helpful when doing any maintenance or repairs. Let us know if you have any questions.
