36 kg/sec at idle?

MAF sensors usually are 1gm/sec/litre of engine displacement.

my 3.2 litre engine sucks 3.2 to 3.4 gms/sec at idle. my other cars (japanese and american follow this too - e.g. 2.4 lit toyota is 2.4 gm/sec at idle)

clean out the MAF sensor and make sure there are no leaks in the induction tubing and also the breather pipes/caps. If there is a leak the MAF will register low input signal.
