Any idea where the rear speed sensor cables come out on the under hood end? I can see them until a little forward of the differential at which point they go under a shield plate (or part of the body) toward the front of the car. Can't track them further.

If my memory is correct , either under the rear seat via a grommet or under the carpet just in front of rear seat

I cut the harness to the ASR/ABS module (near the ECU) and the wires don't have the same colors as the 500E in that article. I cut 3 that were close in color thinking maybe it was color interpretation and it didn't seem to help anymore than unplugging that module completely. I will try the jumpering of 1 and 6 on the diagnostic module and see what that does.

my car has a dia. port under the hood,I used a paperclip to jump 1 and 6 socket.

A good start woould be to get hold of a scanner that will give you the error codes and train behind it.
