Scanner recommendations
I need to get a scanner for my 2002 clk320 w208,
The suggested icarsoft scanners will not work on W208's. What is the best reasonably priced scanner available for my car ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Does yours have the 38 pin connector under the hood? If so, the best low-cost scanner I've found is the Autel MD802 along with their "BENZ-38" adapter. The MD802 is ~$199 and the required BENZ-38 adapter is ~$120. Reads codes and live data from ALL of the on-board computers, and can clear codes from any system. Powered by the socket, so no batteries or power cords required. I'm very happy with it for my w210.

Limp mode can only be reset with the 38 pin connector...
The only way to go is with Star. I have the one on post 14(I bought it from that link too). You will need a Dell 630. All the support is on this thread.. Got My MB STAR C4 Diagnostic Tool Today! - Mercedes-Benz Forum Martin |

Agree with Autel recommendation. This coming is making pro level scanners at 1/3 the cost of snap on.
