"Display Defective" message, but everything works. 1996 E300D W210
I get a "Display Defective" message, but everything works.
These are the current electrical issues that may affect this... 1. The previous owner pulled the fuses for the highbeams. I don't know why. When I plug the fuses in the high beams just are on all the time the headlights are on. clicking the switch does not change them, highbeam indicator is on at the display.there is no click. Is this a relay? 2. The fog light fuse is pulled. One fog light is off the car and has no lens. I have the assembly in the trunk. I have never plugged in. 3. When I changed the clearance bulbs (lamp out warning is now gone) I noticed that the wiring inside the headlight is cracked. So, I coated as much of it as I could with liquid electrical tape. |

This is usually caused by a bad windshield washer fluid sensor.

Is that something I can give a little cleaning? Or pigtail to eliminate or test? |
