My new (to me...) 300D needs, I was told, a change of bushings on the steering linkages. What I'd like to know:
- how hard a job is it to change those? - do new/different bushings make a difference on driving feel and behaviour?, and related to this one... - any particular type/grades (don't know what those things are classified as...) of bushings recommended? Also, when taking right hand turns at moderate speeds, a low "thunk-thunk-thunk" noise comes from the right rear wheel. I know the shock absorber needs to be changed on that particular wheel, so I'm not sure if that might be causing the problem if it's a bearing problem. Nicolas |
