My 107 had stalling problems which my mechanic found to be (at least we thought) due to a air flow sensor plate which was detached. AFter replacement, still stalled when the car had been run for a prolonged (an hour or so) period of time, when slowing down to a stop. Drove the car 600 miles over the weekend, and now the car stalls almost all the time when coming to a stop, and now is "loping" at idle. Plugs were just replaced; timing checked at that time and CIS checked, and found to be within spec. Seems to run well at speed and no loss of power. Any thoughts??? TIA,

This sounds like something as simple as an idle slide valve and/or the idle spee control unit. The reason I think this is it has gotten me a few times!!

Thanks for the insight. Looks like the thermovalve is faulty, but I am not sure if that in and of itself would cause the hot only problem...I'll change it and see if this fixes the problem.
Thanks again. This site has been very well done and quite impressive. ------------------ |
