88 560 SL Water Pump
It seems Mercedes-Benz has discontinued this part which is surprising. Given that, is there a “best” or “avoid” aftermarket brand?

Check out the water pump "sticky". It looks like new aftermarket is all that's available for our vintage cars, or you might be able to find rebuilt through the usual auto parts chains, but I wouldn't trust them
There used to be a reliable rebuilder near me that rebuilt my OE water pumps, but they moved years ago, but since I drive a lot less now water pumps last longer. Duke |

I bought a Laso water pump for my 72 107. Not many vendors carry them, They were an OE supplier, I believe. Graf is another. Both available here: https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperCat/3489/MBZ_3489_WATPMP_pg1.htm

Randy, ask your local MB dealer if they can provide you with a rebuilt original water pump.
