Mercedes builds their own suspension systems, both Bilstein & Boge help with the shocks/struts. 1992 model S-Class suffered with front end problems(class action law-suit), Most all were repaired with the best parts avail. at that time. I would think that a few cars missed some of the needed mods. to repair the problems. Of course the biggest problem with the front end was the terrible "Z" rated tires!!!
