600sel Transmission Upshift Problem

Hi I am a new member and hope you can give me some advice.
my transmission ('92 600 sel v-12) starts in 1st, skips 2nd , goes to 3rd and wont shift to 4th untill rpm hits 3300 or I can shift to neutral and back to drive. This problem seems to be intermittent, but lately all the time.

Have you had the trans serviced recently? If you don't know when the last trans service was I would get the fluid and filter changed as a minimum, doesn't cost that much and contamination is often the cause of many trans problems.

Matt.

Matt.
It was done about 15 000 miles ago, I tried putting a ball bearing into the vacuum solenoid line, this did not help at all. I have an appointment to get the fluid / filter changed in couple of days. I was really hoping someone had experienced this problem before.
I don;t know if there is an electronic diagnostic method for this transmission engine combination.
Thank you for your interest.
