Question Strange rattling noise from engine

I hope somebody can help me with this anoying rattle that comes from what sounds the belt tensioner or the power steering pump.
The sound has been there since I can remember but since I had to change the motor mounts, I decided to change the belt tensioner and the tensioner shock absorber and the belt itself, thinking this was the source of the problem. Well, it turns out it still rattles when idling, but fades away a lot when I turn on the A/C.My car is a 87 300E euro with 180.000 Km.
Thank in advance for any help you might give me.

Check the little shock in front of the engine!

It has been discussed recently.

I second that. Happened to me also.

If, by pressing against the shock bushing, the noise goes away, then the bushing is worn out. That is a very cheap DIY fix...
