I recently purchased a 87 2.3 16v for an excellent price. I knew the vehicle had some problems, most small. The car has no power. the previous owner had the injection cleaned and her mechanic said that it was possibly the fuel distributor. I can see where he would arrive on that. Or fuel pump??? Anyway, what is the proper procedure for checking the F.D. I do not want to spend $581 for an F.D. and not resolve the problem. Any common syndromes you could add. Or advice on where to start. I am a knowledgable BMW gearhead but have stepped up to the plate with my new M-B. Thanks for this forum and the opportunities it brought us proud owners. I have found it very informative and it inspired me to make this purchase.
