Wanted to replace the belt.Removed the fan. Slackened the bolt on the tensioner. Turning tensioning nut did not relaease the tension on the belt. The pointer on the tensioner could be moved by hand.It appears that only the top portion of the tensioner nut turns. What went wrong !
Put everything back together. Car is on the road but the belt is slightly loose. Any other way to increase the belt tension. [This message has been edited by SANDEEP (edited 06-15-99).] [This message has been edited by SANDEEP (edited 06-15-99).] |
