300E Rear Window Problem...HELP

My rear left window went out last night, but worst of all it went out in the down position so now i can't get it back up. So now I have a security issue with my car. Heres what iv done, checked the fuses and they seem to be fine, came up that it is not the switch because both of them don't do anything (front and back seat swithes), and theres not enough of the window sticking out to pull it up. I really need to get the window back up, i don't care how much work it is, but i don't want to have to pay someone else. Is there any tool that will do this? or how do i go about taking off the door panel (iv done it before on another car, prolly not too different). So if anyone has done this before or have any advice I would be very thankful.
Thank you

Try this first...

shut the door while pressing the window switch in the up position. That may release the window motor. If it does not work, look at the DIY section on top of this page, under doo check strap. It will give you at least an idea on what it is involve in removing the door panel. The rear is a lot easier. Is the motor doing any noise? Do you get any power to the switch?

Hi Chris,

You may want to hold down the power window switch in the up position (use the switch in the centre console), while having another person open and slam close the affected rear door. This may help loosen the stuck window motor (that's what happened in my old 300E) and the window may go back up.

Give it a try and see if it works. If not, you will probably need to remove the door panel to test the motor to see if it moves when you apply 12V to the motor. If it doesn't move, you may need to replace the motor.

Hope this helps.
