Presently, I have a 1990 190E with about 80,000 miles on it--I've had a lot of problems. The local MB dealership has a 1992 300E 4Matic with 38,000 miles for sale. I know the 300E is a very fine automobile, but am I going from the frying pan into the fire? I've heard the 4-wheel drive is problematic and expensive to repair. Your opinions are very much appreciated! Oh, the price is $22,000.
Thanks, Matt |

The 300E is a much better car than the 190 in my opinion, but I do not like the 4-matic option unless it is needed by the driver. If you live in a snowy place or ice, then OK.
