Here in Oregon we have a wide range of very good local microbrews. I'd pick something like a pale ale or a hefeveisen (sp?) with a little lemon wedge. I would expect you'd have something similar in the midwest. I grew up there and remember how much folks like their beer.

I'll second Beck's Dark

Any Mercedes work outside requires something true and robust, so Beck's Dark, or I suppose if you want a domestic, Sam Adams' Summer Brew, which is not dark, but is robust yet crisp.

Stella Artois or Murphy's Red. Or maybe UFO from Harpoon or maybe Whitbread Ale...the list goes on...Things to stay away from are the stronger one's like Hard Lemonade and Ummegong (sp?) belgian style ales (~8% alcohol) it'll wipe you out before you done with the car!

Yes. The mid-west, especially Michigan has many great micro brews. If you ever find yourself in the area, order an Oberon. Beer of choice for the summer MSU student. Though I cant stand it in a bottle. Maybe I'll be with Sam's Summer Bew or a Wicked Pete's.

Ive always been a huge fan of Pale Ales though, I love those IPAs, though being English in origin, possibly a good beer to drink while working a a Mini or whatever they make these days.

What size are your rims? If they are bigger than factory, a 40oz. of Miller High Life may be in order.
