Condenser Fan Switch?

Hey guys,
Well, my radiator fan crapped out, and I have yet to find a suitable replacement (1984 300D). Living in Edmonton, this isn't much of an issue (we're still getting snow), and she hasn't run any hotter than usual. However, I'm about to head to the mountains, and I know that I'll be climbing some pretty steep passes which will undoubtedly cause a spike in the temperature.

MY QUESTION: Is there some way that I can activate the fan on the A/C condenser (which sits in front of the rad) despite the fact that my A/C is currently disabled?

The fan is an electric auxilliary fan, so I figure there must be some way to get it to run. This may shave some degrees of the motor during the climbs.

Thanks in advance,

BioBenz
