Hello Everyone,
In past threads I read that when the driver's door will not close automatically I can pull fuse number 9 in the trunk and push it back in. This has reset the system but it seems to happen more frequently now. Does anyone know a complete fix for this?

Thank You

Fred

You have to replace the pump. It is located behind the rear panel of the trunk. It is in the top left corner as if you are looking at the back seat from the rear of the car. We do sell these in the partshop.

Thanks for the reply. I just thought it was strange that the failure only occurs on the driver's door whereas on all the other doors the system works. Is it still the pump if it only affects one door? How much is the pump?

Thanks

It has different circuit and relay for each door in case if one door is not working all other three still function(it's part of the pump) the Closing Assist pump is not cheap
check with online passhop for price.

The pump assembly from MBNA (oops...MBUSA) is
around $700 and has a one year warranty. My 92 300SE needed one and I got a rebuilt unit also with a one year warranty from a place
called Europarts Unlimited in NC. Their phone
number is 704-847-4130. Mine works like a
new car should....now if I just could find a way to keep the dash warning lights from blinking like Christmas eve all the time the
car will be rid of bugs...for now!

We should have new and rebuilt pumps in stock at PartsShop. Fill out a Parts Information Request and will let you know what your choices are.

Tobias is correct that MB list is around $700. We will certainly be lower than that...especially with a rebuilt unit.

Fred...
Sorry I forgot to tell you the cost for the rebuilt unit. It was $349. Hope this helps.
