Just a quick note: thank you guys. This site is great. I took care of the shutoff valve this weekend. Didn't have to remove the oil filter housing, but removcing the "throttle" and all the vacuum lines helped a lot to get to the part.
BenzMac: Getting the rod to engage the shutoff lever was easyish, considering I'd been well warned in advance, so thanks for that. I did test it with a block of wood in hand in case I needed to block the air intake... :^) Again, thanks a lot, great work, great site.
