I have just bought a 1992 300SL in England and find that the Glass/Plastic is cracked at each point of the seam with the canvas where there is a fold during storage. (I hope that makes sense <g> ).

Is this a common problem due to the fold?

How should it be repaired? How can it be avoided again?

put new plastic glass for you.

You may have better luck calling your local benz dealership first. Many top notch dealers can replace the back half of the top top for you with original factory parts, the others can suggest a specific upholstery shop to you...
