I need to adjust the valves on my 1983 300SD (Turbo Diesel) Can someone tell me the proper calibration. My mechanic needs the information.
In another matter, my car has a electric heater that maintains the engine warm during the Winter months. How should I use that hearter? Can I keep it plug in for days at a time? Should I just plug it over night? Should I plug it for a few hours before using the car. I need to know this information since Winter is arround the corner. Thanks ------------------ |

You can use the search function for the valve adjustment specs and special wrenches required.
Plug it in over night and the engine will be warm in the morning. It uses the about the same amount of elec. as a 100w bulb. ------------------ Benzmac: 1987 16V ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |

Thanks for the input. I'll try the search as you suggested.
