Always replace the valve cover gasket.
The hydraulic valves in this enigne will not need any adjustment when done. Be sure to keep the small pucks in the same place they came from and be careful not to drop them when coming apart. The key to this job is to use the EXACT torque on the cam cap bolts. Too tight and you will strip out the aluminum threads. ------------------ Benzmac: 1981 280GE SWB 1987 16V ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
