EPC program
hello everybody
my latest mbz will be here friday 1987 420sel in gold/cream. and it is a creampuff just barely broke in at 128k. my question is: has anybody ever gotten the electronic parts finder cd's that are on ebay to actually work. and if you have what proceedure did you use. there just seems to be a step in the installation that is missing. and i do have winxp pro. i can get into the program but can't find the parts pictures. also it keeps rejecting the model number even if it is set for us models. helllllppppp!! thanks guys for any help craig

Create two partitions, label them CDMBPU1 and CDMBPU2. Copy all contents from CD1 onto CDMBPU1 and all contents from CD2 onto CDMBPU2. Should work.

hi guys
well i'm trying but i feel my problem is i can't get it to completely uninstall completely and each time i try an install it goes back right where the registry thinks it should be from the previous install.
what i think is when i originally installed i made the mistake of not checking the server option. i think this because it eliminates any option of installing to the hard drives and then it tells me the path was changed. Note: i run 4 hard drives with multiple partitions and i tried to keep it off of the c drive. i'm positive there is something in the registry that is thinking it is already to install. help again. tks craig

if that is the case... use Regedit and find the keys associated. Typically any thing like the path, the name etc will help.
Just delete them. If you are non-IT person, I would strongly advise you to backup, if not image, your computer before playing with the regedit. good luck. FYI. Mine works very well just that you have to use the mouse instead of keying in the numbers. I first thought it won't take the mouse but later found out entering numbers will do reverse. cheers |
