success starting & floored accelerator

after a bout of cold and a frosty engine, i got the car to start once the battery got recharged, although i had to actually put the accelerator to the floor and hold it there, as the engine would not catch as well while turning with foot off accelerator...perhaps flooring it either i) solves a flooded engine (lean) or ii) enriches the gas/air mixture or iii) something is seriously wrong with my 88 300e

The temperature went down to -34deg last week in our neck of the woods. I have a remote starter and the car started like it was 70deg. I let it fully warm up (I know it is not the best thing for a car) but my butt is more important.
Do you have any idea of how cold MBTex can be at minus 34????

You mean it was -29.2 degrees F? Wow .... years ago I was in Idaho and it was about -10 F and I remeber spitting to the ground and it crackled. My car's shocks were so cold (Koni) that after backing the car out of the car port, the suspension refused to extend and level the car out.

MBTex? Hey anything is cold at that temp! Glad you are enjoying your remote start. I don't blame you. Do you use any sort of fuel additives?
