I think one of the center console lights on my '86 420SEL just burned out (it illuminated the temp. wheel and the left two climate setting buttons) Can anyone tell me how to get to the bulb, what kind of a bulb it is, and any other bulbs that are back there. As long as I have it opened up, I want to change them all because I don't want to have to do this again any time soon. Thanks for the help.

You'll have to remove the upper console trim panel to get at the lights. It would tak a lot of space to put the instructions in here, Your best bet is to take the critter to a mech who know what is required. Or, as an alternaltive, get a Haynes manual for your car.
Try books4cars.com I got one for my car. inexpensive and shipped quickly.. ------------------ Jeff L 1987 300e 1989 300e |
