I ordered a new overvoltage protection relay as many of the archives suggested to solve a over rich mixture condition as well as periodic "reduced power". I got part no 201 540 37 45 which was descibed as the substitute for 201 540 32 45. I installed same and immediately had real problem starting the car. When it started, it would not idle and THE ABS LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OUT. I reinstalled the original relay and had the same running experience. No blown fuses in either relays.I did remove the battery for each installation.
Help, now, this is serious. Many thanks. |
