Gear shift display/ ash tray light

Greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska. I would like to know if this is something I could do myself: My ash tray light is out and also the display which tells what gear Iam in on the floor is out is this an easy fix or should I seek tech help. I have a 92 190e, Automatic. Thanks for your help you guys are great!!!!!
