My 1976 230.4 has always rode a little rough since I bought it (never been able to get the idle just right and currently can't afford the service cd) but lately, it seems to idle really rough on start up. Especially when left overnight. It shakes and "bucks" like a washing machine on spin cycle until it begins to warm up. The carb was just rebuilt save the choke but recently I've noticed that my engine was missing the pre-heater hose for the air intake system and also a black plastic piece from near the air filter connecting with the front left side of the car. (between the right headlamp and the rad)
Could these be my problems? Timing maybe? Thanks in advance for your help, AARON 1976 230.4 |
