My rear dome light no longer works despite a bulb replacement, either with door open or switch on dashboard. I've noticed that the right rear entry light is also dim. I suspect a short. Has anyone had this problem? How was it solved?

If the switch on the dash is out, sometimes it will not work. If you need an electrical troubleshooting manual, we sell the CD labled 124.

I found the problem. The wires going to the LEFT rear door had a break in them. I repaired the break, now all is well. I have the CD rom, but the wiring diagram for the 300e (with security system) is inaccurate in that it does not show that rear door switches even exist. Does MB provide updates to this CD?
