I'm back with another question. My 1990 300ce is leaking around the rear cover. Looking at the way the diff is installed on the car, getting the back cover off is not like taking the cover off my Jeep.

Is there a "way" that the cover can be removedand reinstalled without removing the diff from the car?

I have the CD, but it shows removing it....sometimes there are tips and tricks that some folks may know of.

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure is your rear cover? In my '86 300e the leak was from the little o ring in the sensor? on the side of differential. With the car moving forward at speeds with the wind, the small drops moved leak moved back towards the differential cover. BIG difference in price and labor.
Try it, its worth it.
Good luck!
