Ive got an ongoing problem with a W126 500SEC with throttle response..
It starts up fine and idles great... you can rev it up without a load no trouble... however when you floor the throttle under normal driving it stumbles and almost dies out...you have to feather the throttle to keep it going...If I pull it back through the gears it will rev out like normal... also there is a crackle in the radio when I drive over bumps ...Is this an electicial connection not quite together ..if so where do I start to look... What you describe sounds like high voltage leakage. Works OK until you put a load on the engine. Suspect areas-> distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, and lastly HT lead and coil.
