Nick,
I found the following data for our car on Microsoft's site (no source given):
Fuel Economy City 17 MPG
Fuel Economy Hwy 22 MPG
-- or, to translate, 7.23 and 9.36 km/litre respectively.
We get about 90% of that. I attribute this shortfall to my wife's heavy foot!
