I am having problems starting my 190E MB. Sometimes while trying to crank the car the engine will not start until the gas pedal is pressed down. Also on other ocasions it will start up and then cut back off. Any ideas on what this maybe?

Two things to check. Overvoltage relay and the fuel pump relay
We carry the service Cd for this. IT is the 201 chasis. ------------------ Benzmac: 1981 280GE SWB 1987 16V ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |

I checked both. I even went ahead and replaced the fuse in the top of the overvoltage relay. I am still having the problem. Could there be something wrong witht the fuel pump. Or the Coil?
