Starting Monday morning, my alarm has been malfunctioning. Whenever I lock my car from the drivers door with the key, the alarm begins to go off. However, if I lock from the passenger or trunk, it does not. This is getting a little annoying. My car is a 92 300E.

Check for a short in the door. The alarm lead is a single wire that comes off the lock mechanism. I had the same problem on my 300e. It was in the passenger door. The lead was grounding to the door sheetmetal. Taped it up, problem solved. Good luck, hope it's a simple troubleshoot and fix.

I have also seen many of the handles fail. The micro switch will fail and you will have to replace the handle.
