Locking system?

Hey guys,

It is me again

What is wrong here...

When I use the key to unlock the doors (manually) aka by inserting the key into the lock, it only unlocks that door and not the rest.

Also, my locking electronically is not working. Do I change the fuse or what do I do???

Right. The first thing I would check is the fusebox. Make sure all fuses are OK.

locking

Well it could be as easy as a fuse, but it could be as ugly as a vacum pump (under rear seat). When you turn the key it closes a circuit and starts the pump it will then draw down the acutators and lock all the doors trunk and gas door, going the other way it will unlock all those items. I think you have a lock switch on the inside try it and if it locks and unlocks, the microswitch on the door is bad. What happens if you try and lock the car from the trunk, or what are the remotes doing 92 and up had remotes!
I just went back and your remote is doa also. Back to the pump there was a bulletiin about bad hoses on some pumps, if you can hear it run and then shut down (times out) that could be the problem. Check with your dealer there was a hose kit, it was discussed in the "Star a few months ago"

Well, which fusebox? Sorry for sounding kind of dumb but I know there is a fusebox in the trunk and in the hood.

I am guessing the fusebox in the trunk though.

I checked the fusebox in the trunk and everything seemed to be ok. I do remember though when I changed the fuses a few months back, the locking system and electric locking was working. Anyways, how would all the doors vacuums be messed up all at the same time? Are they all using the same vaccum?

When I lock the trunk, I hear these noises (locking noises) for the rest of the car. I can lock the car manually etc. And pull up manually on the rest of the car door locks to unlock/lock them.

What other information do you need?

fuse box near back drivers side in mine for locks

s500 if your car is anything like my 85 190 than the fuses are in the engine compartment, but even if its in a different place, on my fuse box cover there is a label telling you what each fuse is for, but even without knowing that you should be able to look everywhere for a blown fuse. but if you hear the pump going when you lock the trunk it might be more than a blown fuse, but its a good thing to check anyway, who knows what you might find.
