98 C230, Climate Control error 232.

I was checking an intermittent a/c problem in my father's 1998 C230. I went through the diagnostics and code 232 comes up (which I believe is the Refrigerant pressure sensor). This is one of the intermittent codes, not a constant. I cleared them and everytime I check, it is still 232. Does this mean it is high or low on refrigerant or that the sensor is sending numbers out of specification? It usually only has problems working when it is above 30C. (When you need it most)

TIA,
Steve
