I am still trying to learn the nuisances of my 87 300E. Here is one I think I have figured out, but would like some confirmation.
After backing out of the garage, stopping and then starting to move forward slowly with light pressure on the brake pedal (due to a steep driveway), you feel a little kick in the brake pedal and a .5 to 1 second or so motor noise from the engine compartment. After looking at the ABS systems, it seems like this may be the ABS system initializing. Am I close or is something possible wrong. It happens within the first 5 feet of forward motion and is not noticed at other times. Only when going from reverse to forward motion. Thanks |
