Front door seal removal/replacement

Got some minor surface rust under front door seals..('92 400e)..Along the top of the doors. What's the trick to removing the old rubber and installing new seals? The current seals seem to very in-place with adhesive....Planning on removing seals so I can put a halt the rust .Your help is appreciated
